Easy Hello

Easy Hello Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 8, 2026

Short version: we collect as little as we can, use it only to run Easy Hello, and keep it simple because we're just getting started.

What we collect

We only ask for what we need to coordinate local clubs and groups:

  • If you fill in a form on this site: your name, email, postcode, and anything optional you add (like what would make it easiest to turn up, or whether you'd be open to helping host)
  • If you join a WhatsApp group: WhatsApp shows your phone number to other members.
  • Basic website analytics (the usual "how many people visited this page" stuff). We do not run ads.

How forms work (important)

When you submit a form on this website, it currently becomes an email to us (Rod + Peter). That means your message lands in our inbox like any other email. We may copy key details into a simple list (eg to invite you when a club in your postcode launches), but we're not running a fancy system.

What we use your info for

We use your details to:

  • reply to you
  • route you to the right club
  • let you know when a club or group you asked for goes live
  • occasionally share practical updates (eg "new group added in 3070")

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data.
  • We don't share your details with other members (except where WhatsApp itself shows your number to the group).
  • We don't spam. If you don't want updates, you can unsubscribe anytime.

WhatsApp privacy (also important)

For now, WhatsApp is the coordination layer for Easy Hello groups. In practice this means joining a WhatsApp group where locals post upcoming catch-ups.

A few things to know:

  • Your phone number is visible to other group members. Join only if you're comfortable with that.
  • WhatsApp is run by Meta. Messages are handled under their settings and policies, not ours.

If you want to participate but keep your number more private, consider using WhatsApp's privacy settings (profile photo, about, last seen), or using a secondary number.

How long we keep data

We keep things only as long as we need to run the club(s) and follow up on what you asked for. If you want your details deleted, ask and we'll do it.

Access, correction, deletion

If you want to:

  • see what we have about you
  • correct it
  • be removed from our list
  • delete your details

...send us an email at privacy@easyhello.com or use the site contact link and tell us what you want done.

One more thing

We're just getting started. We're putting in the obvious guardrails, and we'll improve as we learn. If you spot a gap, tell us.

Easy Hello is a social enterprise founded by Rod Hamilton and Peter Haasz in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).

We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of this land and waterways, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, and to their Elders past and present.
