Short version: we collect as little as we can, use it only to run Easy Hello, and keep it simple because we're just getting started.
We only ask for what we need to coordinate local clubs and groups:
When you submit a form on this website, it currently becomes an email to us (Rod + Peter). That means your message lands in our inbox like any other email. We may copy key details into a simple list (eg to invite you when a club in your postcode launches), but we're not running a fancy system.
We use your details to:
For now, WhatsApp is the coordination layer for Easy Hello groups. In practice this means joining a WhatsApp group where locals post upcoming catch-ups.
A few things to know:
If you want to participate but keep your number more private, consider using WhatsApp's privacy settings (profile photo, about, last seen), or using a secondary number.
We keep things only as long as we need to run the club(s) and follow up on what you asked for. If you want your details deleted, ask and we'll do it.
If you want to:
...send us an email at privacy@easyhello.com or use the site contact link and tell us what you want done.
We're just getting started. We're putting in the obvious guardrails, and we'll improve as we learn. If you spot a gap, tell us.
Easy Hello is a social enterprise founded by Rod Hamilton and Peter Haasz in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia).
We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of this land and waterways, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, and to their Elders past and present.
